About Fatimah Dattijo Muhammad

Fatimah is a versatile young professional with significant experience and practical knowledge in Litigation, alternative dispute resolution, debt recovery, commercial transactions, and corporate practice in the telecommunications industry.

She has advised notable government parastatals, individuals, and multinational companies/corporations on debt recovery, commercial transactions, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder management.

Her innovative and enthusiastic approach towards legal practice and academic development resulted in groundbreaking research and contributions to the Global Legal Insights Group on Corporate Recovery and insolvency laws, Energy Laws and regulations, and Oil and Gas laws and Regulations in Nigeria between 2017 and 2019.

She co-authored an article on Pro Bono activities in Nigeria published by the International Bar Association in 2017 and served as a panelist at the IBA Young Lawyers Training in 2018, discussing Cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions. She was a panelist during the Nigerian Bar Association- Section on Business Law Annual General Conference debate discussing the path to partnership in June 2019, a member of the conference planning committee, and a session coordinator for the African International Conference on Islamic Finance in 2019, 2021, and 2023.

She was a member of the NBA General Purposes Committee between 2020-2022, a member of the Fund-Raising Committee for the NBA-SBL 2021 conference, and currently a member of the NBA-SBL North Zonal committee.

She was a Speaker at the TedX Minna (an independently organized Ted event) in Minna, Niger state, on the 12th of September 2020, wherein she shared insights on transcending perceived limits and going beyond boundaries within the “changing mindsets” theme.

Fatimah is currently enrolled at Baze University Abuja as a postgraduate student seeking to obtain her master’s degree in Corporate Law and Management.
